Generation after generation, many people kept asking about the current, seemingly contradiction between the Jewish faith, the Torah and science. Often found scientific facts that would seem to contradict the assertions written and oral Torah. Over the centuries, the great Jewish sages engaged in this crucial problem. Even in the Talmud, there are places where the topic is raised. In the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, who was a great Torah scholar and at the same time had a deep knowledge in the natural sciences, this issue comes up quite often, so that in his writings can be traced to a new approach to the problem.
